STAKEHOLDERS

MARITIME TRADE

Global Maritime Trade is far bigger than most of us can even begin to imagine. A single ship can carry enough grain to feed nearly four million people for a month; another, enough oil to heat an entire city for a year, and others can carry the same amount of finished goods as could 20,000 heavy trucks on the road.

Ships are one of many engineering wonders of the modern world. Executing safe transit of such trade volume requires all hands on deck, all of the time.

Crescent Pilots play a critical role in river commerce, but we are one of many cogs in a very complex system of trade. The river’s stakeholders are many, as are the tasks each undertake. Together we work hand in hand to keep the business of the river both efficient and safe.
